Planning a remodeling project in 2018? Stop and consider this — spending money on renovations does not automatically mean your house will be worth a lot more. According to Remodeling magazine’s latest Cost vs. Value Report, not all home improvements pay off. Researchers pinpointed the average return on investment of 20 popular home renovations by asking contractors how much upgrades would cost to complete, then comparing numbers with how much real estate agents estimated these projects would boost a home’s selling price.
The report shows that curb appeal projects tend to yield higher paybacks than those inside the home. Also, that it’s better to replace or repair than add and remodel. Check out the full report then call David for his expert opinion and contractor referrals.
